The Allongé DanceWorks Story

Allongé DanceWorks officially came to fruition in the Fall of 2022, but the Novi Civic Dance Program has been operating under the Direction of Chelsea Erickson since 2014.
 
In November 2025, we finally opened our own studio space with premium Harlequin sprung flooring and vinyl to give our dancers more room to grow! We continue to hold our ballet classes at our new studio space and also run the Civic Center program for our baby and recreational dancers. 
 

What began as a recreational program has now expanded into a serious ballet program. Our dancers have received scholarships to programs around the country, and placements in highly regarded competitions such as YAGP, UBC, and WBAC. 

"Allongé" is a French word which means "to elongate" and in ballet, we use this term to describe stretching arms or legs from a bent position. At Allongé Danceworks, we strive to stretch our student's potential and inspire them to achieve more and more.
